Service Description
The standard type of massage offered in most clinics, gyms, spas and wellness centers, Swedish massage is virtually synonymous with massage therapy. Swedish massage is based on the Western concepts of anatomy and physiology, compared to the energycentric style more common in Asian forms of massage. Using lotion or oil, massage therapists typically begin with broad general strokes and then transition to specific strokes to address problem areas. Swedish massage provides full-body muscle relaxation, and it can be especially helpful if you're recovering from an injury.
Cancellation Policy
Arrival to Your Massage Treatment Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled appointment. This allows time for new clients to fill out the necessary form, change, and prepare for the service. All sessions are scheduled precisely, and early arrival ensures a relaxed experience. Late arrivals may result in a shortened session to maintain the schedule, and the original treatment time will be charged. Cancellation Policy and Fees Your therapy times are reserved exclusively for you. We value your business and ask that you respect our scheduling policies. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice are subject to a $50 fee ($30 for a half-hour session). No-shows will be charged the full service amount. All reservations require a credit card or gift certificate, which will not be billed unless there is a cancellation or no-show. You can choose your payment method at checkout. Late Arrival Policy Sessions have a specific time schedule, and late arrivals may not receive an extension. In special cases, we may accommodate a partial or full appointment with prior notification of your late arrival. The original reservation fee will be charged. No Show Policy We understand that unforeseen events happen. However, we ask that you call if you cannot keep your appointment. No-shows may be charged the full service amount. Informed Consent Before each session, the treatment plan will be discussed. At your first visit, you will be asked to sign a consent form acknowledging that you understand and agree to comply with our policies. Clients we haven't seen for at least a year may need to fill out this form again. Reservations To ensure availability, we recommend scheduling your appointment in advance. A credit card is required to guarantee your reservation. Gift certificates can also be used. Charges are only made on the date of your scheduled service if there is a cancellation or no-show. Scope of Practice Our licensed professionals adhere to the highest standards. Massage therapy involves manual techniques to positively affect your health and well-being. Our therapists do not diagnose or prescribe medical conditions but may refer you to a medical doctor if needed. Our services are not an alternative to medical treatment. Respect for Client Needs and Boundaries Our therapists are happy to adjust pressure, temperature, music volume, or focus on specific areas upon request.
